Our story began in Switzerland fifteen years ago when Elca, a leading Swiss IT services group, delivered a ticketing project for the Swiss railway who wanted to offer a highly secure print@home functionality to its users.
SECURE BY NATURE
Elca founded SecuTix in 2002 with the ambition to provide the entertainment industry with a multichannel and secure ticketing technology that enables online ticket sales. With security part of our DNA, our company name is the combination of “Secu” for security and “Tix” for tickets. We have developed a patented microstructure technology that makes ticket falsifications impossible and facilitates ticket control.
In 2004 we delivered SecuTix V1, a ticketing software solution natively designed for the internet and delivered as a service, a visionary move at the time. Twelve months later, one million tickets were processed through the platform. The provision of the SaaS delivery model facilitated adoption as it relieved our customers from the burden of purchasing hardware and maintaining the system.
By 2007, we understood that whether paper-based or digital – a ticket is much more than a key to access an event. It symbolises an experience that begins at purchasing time, builds up until the event takes place and extends long after. In 2009 we launched SecuTix 360°, the first white label solution to combine a ticketing engine with CRM functionality that enables interacting with customers before, during and after your event.

With unmatched ticketing expertise stretching over 16 years across six industries, we strive to be at the forefront of ticketing innovation. Product innovation is driven out of Lausanne with development taking place in Switzerland, Spain and at our offshore centre in Vietnam.
