Teatre Lliure extends partnership with SecuTix to continue its sales growth

Since the automation of the management system with the technological platform, the theatre has increased the sale of its tickets and season tickets by more than 10% per year

The theatre is going to carry out a TIXnGO mobile ticketing pilot test to enchance its e-tickets



SecuTix, the SaaS ticketing and audience management platform, has announced the renewal of its contract with Teatro Lliure.

The tender was won last July for the next three seasons. The option to access directly data related to audiences, their behaviour and purchasing habits; having greater control and flexibility when solving issues; and improving the user experience, all played a key deciding factor in Teatro Lliure’s appointment of a ticketing technology partner.

The Teatro Lliure is a theatre located in the city of Barcelona, inaugurated in 1976, in the Gracia neighborhood, by a group of professionals from the independent Barcelona theatre scene, who stood out for their commitment to theatre in Catalan, the rereading of classics and contemporary theatre. The Teatro Lliure also produces its own productions, several of which have been exported to other European and American cities. Since the beginning, the theatre has alternated its sets between music and dance.

The SecuTix service covers the sale of seats and subscriptions for all theatre shows , in addition to any other more specific needs that may arise. In addition, the theatre will trial TIXnGO, SecuTix’s  secure mobile ticket delivery app that uses blockchain technology, to market the sale of reliable, 100% traceable and individualised mobile tickets.

During Covid, Teatre Lliure has relied on SecuTix to comply with all the necessary health guidelines, adapting to new measures and ensuring that the theatre is a safe space for audiences. Throughout the pandemic, SecuTix has been a crucial technological partner in the management and return of tickets and tickets which had already been sent to customers, as well as in the reopening of the theatre when it was once again able to do so.

On September 14, the first tickets following this new tender will go on sale, to coincide with the 21/22 season presentation. During this new season, the theatre will undergo a modernisation and update of the SecuTix ticket service and capacity management.
