Each year PALEXPO, Geneva’s expo and conference center, organizes dozens of fairs, expos, and events of national and international scale, such as the Geneva International Automobile Fair and ITU Telecom World.

In order to rationalize its costs, PALEXPO wanted a comprehensive ticketing and access control solution. The system would need to allow the generation of print@home tickets and all tickets issued would have to be compatible with access control sites, regardless the sales point (for example, combined tickets CCF - fair +train).

The solution would have to be capable of being integrated with different ticketing operators on the market, allowing a heightened visitor flow to be handled, and be modular enough to be able to be adapted to different expo center configurations, and also allow real-time tracking of entries.

At the last International Automobile Fair in 2010, more than one million tickets were issued, and 15 turnstiles and mobile wireless (WIFI) terminal allowed the checking of more than 800,000 entry documents.

Even more…

During Telecom World 2009, a specific participant management project was carried out in a partnership with ITU in order to allow personal badges to be issued and to analyse participant flow using RFID positioning technology.

The solution implemented with SecuTIx is very positive, both in terms of efficiently meeting our needs and also in terms of image for our position among the leading exhibition and conference centers in Europe.
