In the initial phase, lasting three months, our teams implemented a prototype solution that satisfied security rules and integration constraints. After a phase of many operational tests carried out at the national level, SecuTix was entrusted with implementation of the final system.

The secure tickets were special in that they could be validated visually without electronic checking. In addition, Nederlandse Spoorwegen uses an application allowing the dynamic addition of information to the tickets and the generation of advertising revenues.

Since the launch of this new service, electronic train ticket sales have been rising continuously. Thanks to its availability as a secure service (SaaS), Nederlandse Spoorwegen has a redundant hosting infrastructure and satisfies the requirements for a professional operating service.
